We thought long and hard. There were heated debates that persisted well past office hours, surveys conducted, and numbers crunched. There may or may not have been an incident involving an astonishingly well-executed jump kick and an unsuspecting intern who happened to be rounding a corner at a most unfortunate time.
In the end, however, we did it. The team decided on a quote that we, as branding, marketing, and creative professionals thought would be most appropriate to kick off the inaugural edition of BrandSight, the official blog of The Prodigal Company. The above quote by Al Ries, marketing virtuoso and co-author of such marketing classics The 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing and Positioning: The Battle for Your Mind, was ultimately agreed upon as the ideal representation of what we are about, and what we will be discussing in future editions of this blog.
As a branding agency with 22 years of experience using market research, strategic analysis and creative tactics to optimize our clients’ positions in their markets, we find that this philosophy holds true.
